Our By-laws (or Club Rules) are simple.
Our By-laws (or Club Rules) are simple. We are a social club that focuses on the enjoyment of riding motorcycles and spending time with like-minded people.
- There are two classifications of members in the MUD PUPPIES motorcycle club:
- The first classification is a motorcycle operator. A motorcycle operator is an individual who is licensed and can legally operate a motorcycle. All motorcycle operators will be designated by wearing a country location rocker (i.e. UNITED STATES, BERMUDA, ENGLAND, etc.) with their colors.
- The second classification is a support member. A support member is an individual who is not licensed to operate a motorcycle, simply rides on the back of a motorcycle with a motorcycle operator club member and/or strictly operates an automobile but still regularly attends meetings, rides, and club gatherings. These members are considered support members to the club and are designated by wearing a “SUPPORT” bottom rocker with their colors.
- The Worldwide Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Road Captain & Treasurer) are designated by wearing a “WORLDWIDE” bottom rocker with their colors and represent the overall leadership for the club.
- To become a member, an individual must simply present an interest in joining the club. Interest is established by spending time with the club, attending club events, exchanging correspondence with members, and joining in on rides with the club. We want to allow the opportunity for everyone (the candidate & MPMC members) to get to know each other before patching in a new member. This allows a candidate to really get a feel for the club, our members, and what we are all about; to ensure membership is truly something the candidate wishes to pursue.
- If an individual is interested in joining the club and there is a MUD PUPPIES Chapter present, a 100% vote of the local chapter will be held to approve any new member.
- If an individual is interested in joining the club individually or starting up a chapter in their location which currently does not have a MUD PUPPIES chapter, a request to join the club and/or create a chapter should be sent to the MUD PUPPIES MC via the contact page on this website, via the MUD PUPPIES MC Facebook page or via email at: reachout@mudpuppies-mc.com. The request will be reviewed and voted upon by the Worldwide Officers and the Presidents of all the MUD PUPPIES chapters.
- All members that are part of a MUD PUPPIES Chapter will report to and fall under the leadership (ie. President/Vice President etc.) of their chapter, and all Chapter Presidents will fall under the guidance of the Worldwide Officers.
- All solo/individual members (i.e. without a MUD PUPPIES Chapter in their area) will report to and fall under the leadership of the Worldwide Officers.
- All patches are ultimately the property of the MUD PUPPIES Motorcycle Club. Club patches must be returned immediately upon leaving the club and/or upon the request of a Worldwide Officer or Chapter President.
- The membership fee to join the club will be the price of your patches.
- The club does not require and/or collect annual membership dues. However, on occasion, the club may request contributions and/or donations from the membership to cover costs for events (i.e. annual meetups, funerals, member hardships or celebrations, etc.) and club costs (i.e. MPMC website).
- Any chapter may establish their own “Annual Dues” to be determined by, paid to, and used by the chapter as established by the Chapter members if they so choose. Any member of the chapter who wishes to see and review their chapter account records will be allowed to do so.
- If a member moves to another location that has a MUD PUPPIES chapter, that member will automatically become a member of the local chapter.
- If a member moves and does not have a local chapter to join and does not wish to start a chapter in their location, the member will be considered a solo/individual member. This also applies to members that join the MUD PUPPIES without a local chapter present.
- You must have at least (3) members to start a chapter. A chapter must have a designated President. Where possible, a chapter should have a President, Vice President, and a Secretary. The Secretary can double as the Treasurer. The President may also designate a Road Captain.
- Any decision by the President of a local chapter may be appealed to the membership and a vote called. A two-thirds majority is needed to overrule the President’s decision. Any member may vote or abstain from voting.
- All members may hold office; however, the following positions must be held by a motorcycle operator: President, Vice President, and Road Captain. A vote may be called to change officers. Only a simple majority is needed to change officers.
- All makes, models, and styles of motorcycles are accepted. All motorcycles must be kept street legal, and all paperwork required to ride must be kept up to date. All motorcycles must be of sufficient engine size to be safely operated while riding with the group and/or meets the local country engine size requirements. This is the only motorcycle specific requirement due to times that group and/or highway riding will be conducted. We do not want to impede the flow of traffic or leave anyone behind!
- The MUD PUPPIES are not exclusive. A member may belong to another motorcycle club and/or motorcycle association. (Beware of conflicts of interest; many of our members are military and/or law enforcement based.)
